South America produces more coffee than any other continent globally, with Brazil producing nearly one-third of the world’s coffee alone. As a roaster, we purchase several different South American coffees because of their unique taste and qualities. Our Peru and Guatemalan coffees are relatively mild medium roast coffees that are fully washed and sun dried. Another factor that affects the taste of the coffee is the altitude; both of these coffees are grown at elevations ranging from 1700 meters to 1800 meters. Both of these coffees are excellent examples of coffees that make any blend better. They bring a dark fruits, smoky and roasted almonds flavor to the Longs Peak Blend which cannot be beat.
